GDYNIA, Poland – November 22, 2010 – TopGuitar is proud to announce that the Bad Boy 120 electric guitar amplifier, with a matching C212 cabinet from DV Mark, has been tested for the December issue of the magazine and received a “Top Gear” editors' award for that month.
Here are some excerpts from the review by Grzegorz Ufnal, gear department editor:
“DV Mark is 100% “Made in Italy” with Italian passion and exceptional attention to detail. One must admit that the charm of such trinkets like leather handle or leather corners is hard to resist. But all in all, the leather elements of Bad Boy 120 are just beautiful additions to a very well-designed and well-build amplifier.”
“Every amp containing KT88 power tubes is loud as hell and so is the object of this review. To have such power available from a relatively small and light package, including an unusually lightweight 4 x 12 cab is a real rarity and a great advantage. At last guitarists' lives have become easier!”
“The amplifier presents astonishing dynamics and quick response. It is largely possible thanks to a dedicated speaker cabinet with four neodymium B&C drivers.”
“The tested half-stack set sounds great from the very beginning. It's the kind of sound you can place among those other famous manufacturers. DV Mark emerges with amazing outcomes, because it is not very often a debuting tube guitar amp brand jumps straight onto a level unattainable for average companies.”
Printed since 2005, TopGuitar is a monthly issued magazine of opinion for professional and amateur musicians, as well as all guitar and bass fans in Poland. From among all the instruments and other guitar gear tested each month, the magazine’s editorial staff grants a "Top Gear" award to those products which stand out from their range with sound characteristics and playability, thus deserve a special recommendation.
